The Ophthalmologist will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose ocular conditions, and perform necessary surgical procedures. They will also collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and maintain accurate medical records.

Description

This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a collaborative environment while making a significant impact on the health and wellbeing of the community.

As a Locum Ophthalmologist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating various eye conditions, conducting examinations, and performing surgical procedures as needed. You will work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and ensure patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assessments Diagnose and treat a range of ocular conditions Perform surgical procedures when necessary Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care Provide patient education on eye health and treatment options Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Stay informed about the latest advancements in ophthalmology Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state Board certification in Ophthalmology preferred Strong clinical skills and knowledge of ophthalmic practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Strong commitment to patient care and advocacy Flexible availability for contract assignments

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p

Daily Census: 12 patients

Must be board-certified
