The Locum MD will perform diagnostic imaging procedures and interpret radiological images to provide accurate reports. They will also collaborate with healthcare teams and mentor junior staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

This contract position is on-site, providing an excellent opportunity for medical professionals to engage in impactful patient care within a collaborative environment.

In the role of Locum MD, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality radiological services, ensuring accurate diagnosis and patient management. You will work closely with our dedicated healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to various diagnostic imaging projects.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans Interpret radiological images and provide accurate reports Collaborate with referring physicians to discuss imaging results Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on radiological practices Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Stay updated with advancements in radiology and medical technology

Requirements

Medical degree (MD) with a specialization in Radiology Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction Experience in diagnostic imaging and radiological procedures Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Commitment to continuous professional development and learning Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

Daily Volume: 6-10 cases

Required Procedures

Image-guided biopsies and drainages, lumbar punctures, myelograms, thoracentesis, paracentesis, arthrograms, and joint aspirations and injections

Must be board-certified
