The role of the registered nurse is to support the physicians and/or mid-level providers in the practice with clinical activities and direct patient care.
The RN's focus in the cardiology practice will be phone triage and you must have attention to detail and ability to prioritize the acuity of each situation.
Other responsibility may be to assist in appointment scheduling, nurse visits and other related activities for optimal patient service.
RN's by nature of licensure have an oversight responsibility to other clinical staff (LPN and MA).
Required Skills and Experience: Graduation from accredited RN program Current NYS licensure as a registered nurse
Basic knowledge of Cardiology diseases and treatment Knowledge of medical insurance carriers and how to obtain prior authorization Knowledge and ability to perform manual blood pressure checks
Physical Requirements: Standing-70% Sitting-30% Reaching-50% Lifting-must be able to lift 40 lbs
$35.63 to $44.18 per hour
