The Inpatient Therapist provides psychotherapy and counseling services, including group, individual, and family sessions for patients with psychiatric and substance abuse issues. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate patient documentation and actively participating in the treatment planning process.

How you’ll contribute An Inpatient Therapist who excels in this role: Responsible for providing psychotherapy and counseling therapies including group, individual and family therapy for patients suffering from psychiatric and substance abuse issues.

Ensure accurate and timely patient documentation.

Conducts individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients regarding psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems.

Displays active involvement in treatment planning process.

Provides family session counseling to all patients to ensure appropriate communication and involvement of family members and support groups.

Actively communicates with clients, families, and outside referral sources.

Demonstrates proactive communication with those involved with the patient’s treatment.

What we’re looking for Applicants should have a Master’s degree in social work or counseling and relevant state licensure.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a Master's degree in social work or counseling and possess a current clinical license. Prior experience working with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients is required, along with CPR and Crisis Prevention Training.
