The Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering prescribed radiation doses and operating specialized therapy equipment while monitoring patient conditions. They also provide patient education, maintain treatment records, and assist with brachytherapy procedures.
Candidates must complete an accredited course in Radiation Oncology Technology and hold licensure from the State of Illinois IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety. ARRT(T) registration and CPR certification are required, with a preference for one year of clinical experience.
