The technologist coordinates daily patient procedures and performs technical tasks for patients of all ages. They are also responsible for training staff, managing contrast media, and ensuring equipment quality control.
Candidates must be graduates of a recognized Radiologic Technology program and hold current ARRT registration and Connecticut licensure. At least one year of experience in Radiologic Technology is required, with Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
Education: Graduate of a recognized program in Radiologic Technology. Associates Degree preferred.
One year Radiologic Technology experience required. Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiology, Vascular Interventional Radiology preferred and Current Connecticut License.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department's computerized system and its associated devices.
