The Medical Assistant provides professional clinical care by preparing patients for examinations, assisting providers during procedures, and documenting medical history and vital signs. They are also responsible for maintaining a sterile and safe environment, performing phlebotomy, and educating patients according to provider instructions.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and either hold a Certified Medical Assistant credential or be eligible to obtain one within 120 days. Proficiency in medical terminology, phlebotomy, and electronic medical records is required, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
