The LPN supports the oral surgery team by providing direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, and assisting surgeons during all phases of treatment. They are also responsible for managing clinical workflows, maintaining medication records, and ensuring infection control and emergency readiness.
Candidates must hold an active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and possess BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Prior nursing experience in surgical, perioperative, or critical care settings is highly preferred.
The licensed practical nurse (LPN) supports the oral surgery team by providing high-quality patient care and ensuring smooth clinical operations. This role assists surgeons during all phases of treatment, manages medications and controlled substances, performs IV starts and patient monitoring, and oversees infection control and emergency readiness. The LPN ensures accurate documentation, coordinates pre- and post-operative communications, and helps maintain supplies, equipment, and chart compliance. This position also supports surgical assisting, specimen handling, and sterilization processes as needed to promote safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.
