The Licensed Practical Nurse provides patient care and management within an Occupational Health clinic setting. Responsibilities include conducting screening examinations, providing health counseling, and maintaining medical records.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited LPN program with a current Louisiana state license. A minimum of two years of experience in a medical office or clinic and current CPR or BLS certification are required.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a nurse who assumes responsibility and accountability for the delivery and management of patient care within the scope of practice. This position functions as part of the Occupational Health (OH) clinic and receives guidance and technical supervision from the Occupational Health Nurse Specialists. (OHNS). The LPN participates in the provision of health care, screening examinations, health counseling, medical record maintenance and other related services within the OH clinic.
