About the role

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the operating room during various surgical procedures. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and maintain an environment that supports learning and mentorship.

Relocation Assistance available for eligible candidates Relocation assistance is available for candidates moving 50+ miles from their current residence. $10k Sign-on bonus avaialbe to those that qualify.

Operating Room Schedule- 7p to 7a Monday to Wednesday.

Number of Beds: 11 BSWMCI performs all types of surgical cases including Robotic, General, Podiatry, Colorectal, GYN, Cardiothoracic, Orthopedic, Endovascular, and Urology on high acuity patients.

We have a total of 11 OR suites which include 2 Hybrid ORs.

We are expanding our surgical footprint to add five additional surgical suites.

Our OR leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member.

Surgical Services Patient Population: Outpatients, Inpatients that include: ICU/CCU Ventilators, Central Line/Aline Management, Critical Drips, PCU/Tele/Med-Surg Patient Ratios: OR-1 DSU-5 PACU-2 Department Specifics: Family and teamwork oriented.

Active Unit Based Council Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Irving, located in Irving, Texas is part of Baylor Scott & White Health System.

Established in 1964 as a community hospital, funded through the Irving Hospital Authority, the facility now offers 293 licensed beds.

Each year, BSWMCI delivers care through 32,991 outpatient visits, 76,730 emergency department visits, 11,753 admissions and more than 2000 babies are born each year at this facility.

BSWMCI offers care across a variety of specialties including oncology, digestive, and cardiovascular care and has been recognized by U.S.

News & World Report as a “Best Hospital” for COPD, Heart Attack, Heart Failure, Pneumonia, Stroke, Kidney Failure and Maternity care.

In 2022, BSWMCI achieved its third accreditation in the Magnet Recognition Program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award by the Commission on Cancer, and was once again voted Best Medical Center by the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least 2 years of operating room RN experience and be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. A valid RN license is required, and BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
