The medical assistant will assist in coordinating all aspects of care in a busy multi-specialty office. The role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Candidates must be graduates of a Medical Assistant Program with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical office setting. Experience with insurance authorizations and knowledge of various medical procedures and equipment is preferred.
We are looking for a medical assistant to add to our busy multi-specialty office and assist in coordinating all aspects of the care received in the Medical Office setting. Must be energetic, customer oriented, efficient, with strong multi-tasking and stress management skills.
Education: Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program. In lieu of a Medical Assistant course Experience: Primary Care or Specialist experience preferred. 3 years minimum experience with insurance authorizations, 5 years minimum in a medical office setting Knowledge and Skills: Vitals, competency in lab and radiology orders, knowledge of medication rotation , record keeping, insurance authorizations, verifying eligibility for a wide range of HMOs/PPOs, and answering high volume calls License/Certifications: Current BLS card from American Heart Association (AHA) Equipment: EKG machine, blood pressure machine, otoscope, oxygen tank, stethoscope, nebulizer, glucose meter, thermometer, pulse-oximeter, computer, copy machine, fax Machine, and scanner Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job Language: Spanish preferred Our Company Culture is described as: Detail-oriented—quality and precision focused Stable—strong processes People oriented— supportive and fairness focused Team oriented—cooperative and collaborative
