Rooted in aloha and kuleana, Hale Kipa is dedicated to supporting and empowering Hawai‘i’s youth, young adults, and families who are navigating trauma, injustice, and systemic barriers. Since 1970, Hale Kipa has championed Hawai'i's youth and children. We provide youth outreach, independent living facilities, therapeutic foster care, a haven for runaways, and more. Our founders recognized a need for a nonprofit to step in to assist this deserving population and we are still doing that critical work today, on O'ahu, Kaua'i, and the Island of Hawai'i. Role Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC) who is committed to providing therapeutic services that is trauma informed to clients of diverse backgrounds. Services to include thorough assessments, treatment plan development, and collaboration with community resources and partners. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, cultural humility, and a genuine desire to help individuals overcome challenges and achieve personal goals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage & family therapy, or related field required.
• Active state of Hawai’i license (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or equivalent) required.
• Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills preferred.
• Strong time management and documentation skills preferred.
• Ability to navigate an electronic health record/billing software preferred.
• Experience with diverse populations and evidence-based practices preferred.
• Ability to be credentialed by CAMHD and commercial insurance companies required.

Requirements

• Access to a vehicle for the purpose of transporting youth.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Current auto insurance and safety check.
• Provide mental health evaluations and services under our various contracts, including Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division (CAMHD), Medicaid, HMSA, UHA, HMAA, WellCare, and AlohaCare
• While awaiting credentialing from insurance carriers, must carry a full CAMHD caseload, producing a minimum of 25 billable hours per week to cover salary
• Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy to clients via in-person, community outreach, and telehealth
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and community resources
• Maintain compliance with ethical and legal standards of practice

Salary • Commission Opportunities: Potential to earn an additional $39,000 annually
