The Restorative Nurse Aide delivers restorative nursing care in collaboration with licensed nurses and therapists to prevent decline and maximize patient functionality. They are responsible for maintaining accurate progress documentation and training staff on the proper use of restorative equipment and devices.
Candidates must have completed a state-approved certified nursing assistant program and possess at least two years of experience as a CNA. Knowledge of restorative nursing philosophy and procedures is required, along with a commitment to ongoing continuing education.

The Restorative Nurse Aide, in collaboration with a licensed nurse and rehabilitation therapy, delivers restorative nursing care to prevent decline and to attain maximum functionality. Position Highlights *Maintain accurate restorative nursing progress documentation records on all patients participating in the restorative program. *Participate in the patient care planning process. *Train other direct care staff in restorative techniques, equipment, and the application of splints, braces, prosthetic appliances, and self-help devices to assure proper application and usage. *Notify nursing and/or rehabilitation therapy of patients who may be experiencing a change in their level of functioning.
*Successful completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant program is required. *Two years' experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant. *Knowledge of restorative nursing philosophy and procedures is required. *Must attend a minimum of 12 hours continuing education programs provided by the nursing center in order to maintain certification.
