About the role

The Emergency Veterinarian will work in a fast-paced specialty hospital, managing a high referral caseload and collaborating with specialty teams. Responsibilities include providing high-standard medical care, participating in ongoing education, and coordinating with primary care veterinarians.

Eastern Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Center (EPVMC) is recruiting an Emergency Department Veterinarian with rotating shifts for day, mid and overnight at our fast-paced specialty hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Our hospital supports specialties in Anesthesia, Critical Care, Dentistry, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, and Surgery, as well as our foundational emergency service.

EPVMC is a VECCS level III certified hospital.

Emergency doctors have access to advanced diagnostics including point of care ultrasound, digital radiography, 64-slice helical CT, 1.5T MRI and fluoroscopy.

Along with a full onsite laboratory, 6 oxygen cages, dedicated GI and respiratory isolation suites, all working alongside an experienced specialty team that supports case collaboration.

Allentown sits in the heart of the Lehigh Valley, one of PA’s fastest growing regions.

Collaborate with primary care veterinarians for referral of cases through the emergency room Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training as appropriate Typical schedule is 3 12-hour shifts per week COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS We offer a competitive salary with a sign-on bonus of up to $50,000.00.

Requirements
