Mri technologist - Full time - Chestnut hill hospital

• The MRI technologist demonstrates an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, contrast agents, MRI safety and medical terminology.
• Maintains a high degree of accuracy in positioning and technique.
• The MRI technologist performs MRI procedures according to established protocols to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician.
• Prepares and administers contrast at the direction of the radiologist in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
• Ensures the delivery of quality care in a safe environment for infant through adult patients.
• The MRI technologist remains sensitive to the physical, cultural and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills in a non-judgmental and nondiscriminatory manner.
• The MRI technologist engages in continuing education to enhance patient care, public education, knowledge and technical competence while embracing lifelong learning.
• The MRI technologist uses independent, professional and ethical judgment, along with critical thinking in performance of duties.

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required) and Non-Degree Program from an approved AMA Radiologic Technology Program or MRI Certificate program (Required)

Experience General Experience Relevant Experience (Required): Licenses Reg Technologist (R) (MR) -(Required) Basic Life Support -(Required)
