Non-Invasive Cardiologist The Cardiac & Vascular Institute (TCAVI) | Gainesville, Florida

Position Overview The Cardiac & Vascular Institute (TCAVI) is seeking a full-time Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our growing physician-led cardiovascular practice serving Gainesville and the surrounding Central Florida region. This role includes a balanced mix of outpatient clinic responsibilities and inpatient consultative care across affiliated hospitals in Gainesville.

Key responsibilities/services include

  • Echocardiography (TTE/TEE)
  • Nuclear cardiology
  • PET CT
  • Coronary Artery Calcium Scoring (CACS)
  • Stress testing and cardiovascular diagnostics
  • Preventive cardiology and medication management
  • Inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular consultations

The incoming physician will collaborate closely with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, heart failure specialists, APPs, and dedicated support staff across clinic and hospital settings.

Additional opportunities include

  • Participation in federally approved clinical research trials
  • Support of local residency and educational programs
  • Growth within advanced imaging and PET/CT services

Shared call responsibilities supported by APPs provide strong physician support and work-life balance with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified / Eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine
  • Completion of accredited Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease training programs
  • MD or DO
  • Eligible for Florida medical licensure
  • Nuclear and Echocardiography board certification preferred
  • Open to experienced physicians and current fellows
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care, teamwork, and clinical excellence
  • Eligible for H-1B and J1 physician waiver sponsorship

The Cardiac & Vascular Institute (TCAVI) is a Partner Practice of Cardiovascular Associates of America (CVAUSA).

Requirements

Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in cardiovascular medicine with an MD or DO degree from an accredited program. Proficiency in nuclear and echo imaging is preferred, and candidates must be eligible for Florida medical licensure.
