Perform electroencephalograms on patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics using the International 10-20 system. Maintain equipment, document observations, and ensure accurate billing while adhering to safety and ACNS guidelines.
Requires enrollment in or completion of a Neurodiagnostics program, or one year of supervised clinical EEG experience. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

Perform electroencephalogram on neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients of including EEG to assist in the diagnosis of various brain disorders with direct supervision. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Consults with physicians and checks patient's history. Explains procedure to patient and places electrodes in appropriate cranial areas using the International 10-20 system. Performs EEG in accordance with standard operating procedures and in accordance with ACNS guidelines. Provide detailed observations while recording the EEG. Reports need for repairs for the EEG equipment to immediate supervisor. Enter charges into computer system to ensure proper billing of patients. Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury‑accident to manager.
REQUIRED Enrolled in a Neurodiagnostics program and must provide letter confirming nine months clinical experience performing EEG studies. OR Completion of a Neurodiagnostics program. OR One year supervised on-the-job training experience performing EEG studies in a clinical setting and must provide letter confirming the experience OR One (1) Year experience performing EEG studies. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support. PREFERRED Registered by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (ABRET) Completion of a certified EEG program and one year performing EEG studies. Work Hours: 6:30pm-5:00am Weekend Requirements: Yes- Rotating Basis On-Call Requirements: Yes
