The Massage Therapist will provide therapeutic massage services to hospice patients to enhance comfort and quality of life. They will also collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans and educate staff on massage therapy protocols.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited massage therapy school with at least one year of experience and a current state license. Additionally, they must hold NCBTMB certification, CPR certification, and possess a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
Graduate of an accredited massage therapy school. Minimum one year of massage therapy experience; healthcare setting preferred. Current state license to practice massage therapy. Certification with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). CPR certification. Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation. Proficiency in using massage therapy tools and standard office equipment. Skills and Knowledge: Understanding of hospice care needs, including terminal illness, grief, and loss. Excellent patient assessment and documentation skills. Knowledge of regulatory guidelines including Medicare, Medicaid, and ACHC. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patients, families, and team members. Flexibility, professionalism, and emotional resilience in a hospice care environment. Work Environment: Patient homes and institutional settings. Requires travel using personal vehicle.
