The physician will assist in patient intakes, monitor clinical progress during group sessions, and manage medication dosing. They are also responsible for authorizing prescriptions and completing all clinical notes within the company's EMR system.
Candidates must hold an active, unencumbered MD or DO license and an active DEA registration in the state of practice. A minimum of one year of experience prescribing Buprenorphine and active board certification are required.
12 hours/week, Monday–Friday between 9–8. No weekends.
Physician (1099) Responsibilities: Assist in conducting intakes. Physicians see patients after they have already undergone an extensive evaluation by the counselor. Monitor patients' clinical progress at regular group counseling sessions. Groups are run by specialized counseling staff; physicians participate by answering questions and managing patients’ medication dosing. Authorize patients' prescriptions during monthly visits with patient panels. Complete all notes and reporting in Groups EMR system within required timeline (providers receive full orientation/ training on Clinical Protocols before eligible to begin work with Groups) *We utilize strict protocols to guide clinical decision-making. We have also developed a unique, technology-driven and team-based clinical system that handles all day-to-day patient management and regulatory compliance. This allows physicians to focus exclusively on medical management.
Physician (1099) Requirements: Active, Unencumbered State License (MD/DO) in the State in which you are applying. Active, Individual DEA with address listed in the State in which you are applying (please note that if you intend on prescribing in multiple states, a separate DEA is required in each state in which you are planning on prescribing). DEAX designation as formerly required to prescribe Buprenorphine or proof of 8hrs of qualified training as assigned by SAMHSA will be required Minimum 1 year actively prescribing Buprenorphine. Proof of Active Board Certification (MD or DO; any specialty) Ability to work in-office at least 5hrs per week. Eligibility for hours will commence approx. 3 months after initiation of credentialing and training.
