Qualifications

Minimum 1+ year experience working with a boarded veterinary surgeon or 3+years working in general surgery and anesthesia
CVT or VTS candidates preferred. We will help assist a qualified candidate pursue their VTS certification in Surgery or Anesthesia.
Knowledge and advanced technical skills including but not limited to: venipuncture, IV catheter placement, central line placement, intubation, anesthesia, CPR procedures, chest tube and tracheostomy maintenance, IV fluid administration, and ability to perform advanced techniques such as epidurals and local blocks.

Summary: Your duties will include, but may not be limited to:

keeping accurate medical records, clerical work, client education, promotion of hospital products and services, and direct support of the hospital administrators and other team members. This requires a practical knowledge of Art City Vets procedures; policies and services; client and patient treatment protocols; data transcribing; word processing; and the standard procedures, records, and terminology used in the veterinary hospital.
