How you’ll contribute A Sonographer who excels in this role: Utilizes high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques to produce and evaluate ultrasound images.

Performs ultrasound procedures and tasks.

Calibrates, adjusts, and maintains ultrasound and peripheral equipment.

Assesses and prepares patients of all ages for examinations and explains procedure to patient and/or family while performing the examination.

Provides basic patient care and comfort: Maintains infection control and universal precautions as it relates to patient care and equipment.

What we’re looking for: Registered in Diagnostic Ultrasound (RDMS) Education: Associate’s degree Required; Graduate of approved program of Ultrasound/Sonography or equivalent Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) 1 year as sonographer (Preferred) More about UP Health System Marquette: People are our passion and purpose.

Requirements

Candidates must have graduated from a 2-year AMA Allied Health Program and hold certifications in Basic Life Support and Diagnostic Ultrasound. A minimum of 1 year of experience as a sonographer is preferred.
