Performs routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood and body fluid specimens while ensuring accurate results through strict quality control. Maintains laboratory instruments, records statistical data, and assists in various laboratory areas to support patient care.
Requires the ability to perform moderate and high complexity testing under minimal supervision. Must be capable of evaluating test results based on patient diagnosis, condition, and demographic factors.
Evaluates all results for appropriateness based on diagnosis, condition, age, sex, and previous test results. The Laboratory provides services to all hospital departments based on physician orders for testing.
