About the role

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for coordinating and performing patient assessments, preparing patients and rooms for procedures, and recording images. They also evaluate the quality of studies and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare workers.

Responsible for coordinating and performing an age-specific patient assessment prior to and during the Radiologic procedure, preparing the room and the patient for the procedure, and recording the images. Utilizes radiology equipment accurately, evaluates the quality of the study, and performs procedure management. Communicates with the patient, family, and other healthcare workers and contributes to the efficient operation of the department.

Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.

Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures.

Education/License/Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; BS degree preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, Current State of Montana License for Radiologic Technology required.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Current BLS certification.
