In addition to the duties listed below, this position will allow the clinical ownership and flexibility that Therapy is built on. There is no “one way” to achieve anything and we strive to ensure our team members have the freedom to implement a program that truly puts our patients at the center while also dedicating energy to ensuring each team member feels valued. You will be encouraged to bring new ideas to support your patients and the departments success. We staff 2+ rehab techs that support you on the floor to make sure you have what you need to provide amazing care.
Essential Functions Administers a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the resident’s/patient's capacity and tolerance under the direction of a physician.
Assists patients with rehabilitative activities and exercises outlined in a treatment plan developed in collaboration with an occupational therapist.
Demonstrates and articulates sound clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation and monitoring of resident’s/patient's progress.
Assists in the instruction of residents/patients and families in home programs, basic living skills and the care and use of adaptive equipment.
Punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.
Other Functions Performs other duties as assigned.
Requires graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program and a current COTA license. Candidates must also hold current CPR certification and a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
