At Orthopedic Center of Illinois we're a busy Orthopedic practice looking for a skilled and detail-oriented X-Ray Technologist to join our clinical team.

The X-Ray Technologist plays a critical role in the diagnostic process by producing high-quality radiographic images that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions.

This position requires precision and attention to detail to ensure images are clear and accurate while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

The technician will operate sophisticated imaging equipment, adhering to established protocols and safety standards to minimize radiation exposure.

Collaboration with healthcare professionals is essential to understand imaging requirements and provide timely results.

Ultimately, the role contributes significantly to patient care by enabling accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (e.g., ARRT certification).
  • Valid state licensure to practice as an X-Ray Technologist in Springfield, SPRIN.
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiographic positioning techniques.
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety and protection protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Additional certifications such as CPR or advanced imaging modalities.
  • Familiarity with digital imaging systems and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient communication.
  • Ability to assist with other diagnostic imaging procedures as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients correctly to capture the required radiographic images.
  • Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with radiation safety guidelines.
