The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms while maintaining a safe environment. They must also monitor resident well-being and communicate any observed changes or safety hazards to management.
Candidates should have a caring attitude toward seniors and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 40 pounds. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and experience in a hospitality or senior living setting is considered helpful.
Summary of Duties of the Housekeeper
The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleaning of all common spaces and resident rooms. The Housekeeper must have the ability to follow proper procedures and practices. The Housekeeper must have a natural affinity for seniors and a genuine concern for their well-being. The Housekeeper also must be able to assess changes in residents and communicate the changes to management.
