OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center is Oklahoma’s only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Designated Cancer Center, and one of only 73 NCI-Designated Cancer Centers in the United States. This highly competitive accreditation ensures that our patients receive the highest standard of care and have access to the most advanced cancer treatment options. At the Stephenson Cancer Center, we have an exciting new job opportunity that could be right for you!
The Health Promotion Research Center (HPRC) at Stephenson Cancer Center is now hiring a motivated Staff Research Assistant in our Tulsa office to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about public health, behavioral science, and hands on research that makes a real impact.
THIS IS NOT A BIOMEDICAL/BENCH SCIENCE LAB POSITION. Instead, you’ll be working directly with participants and research teams on multiple ongoing behavioral health studies.
As the first point of contact for participants, you’ll support NIH funded and pilot randomized controlled trials focused on health behavior change—including smoking cessation, alcohol use reduction, and marijuana use reduction. Your responsibilities will include participant referrals, screening, data collection, record keeping, data analysis, and report preparation. You’ll gain valuable experience across the full research lifecycle, with ample opportunities to contribute to scientific publications.
If you’re detail oriented, people focused, and excited to grow your research skills in a nationally recognized cancer center, this role offers a meaningful and rewarding path forward.
