The Medical Assistant will support clinic operations by coordinating patient flow, recording medical histories, and assisting providers during exams and procedures. They are also responsible for performing clinical tasks such as administering injections, collecting specimens, and maintaining medical supplies.
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program and hold an active Washington State Medical Assistant Certification. While not required, one year of healthcare experience in an outpatient or specialty setting is preferred.
As a Medical Assistant, you will be an essential part of the patient care team, supporting providers and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role blends clinical care, patient interaction, and operational support in a specialty cardiology setting. You will help coordinate patient flow, perform clinical tasks, and support providers during exams and procedures. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Support Room patients and coordinate patient flow throughout the clinic Record medical histories, vital signs, and other clinical information Assist providers during exams and treatments Administer injections and collect specimens as needed Clinic Operations Prepare exam rooms and clean medical instruments between patients Maintain and restock medical supplies Support efficient patient scheduling and clinic workflow Patient Communication & Compliance Answer patient questions and provide clear instructions Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA standards at all times What You’ll Need to Succeed
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program Active Washington State Medical Assistant Certification (required upon hire) Strong communication and patient care skills Ability to work efficiently in a team-based clinical environment
