The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They also provide direct care, guide patient/family education, and communicate clinical changes to physicians.
Candidates must hold a current state RN license and BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include ACLS certification, acute care experience, ventilator management experience, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Overview Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Registered Nurse RN - Coronary Care Unit (CCU) Location: Rumford Hospital, Rumford, ME 04276 Per-Diem|12-Hour Shifts The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) within the Medical-Surgical unit. Responsible for direct patient care, care coordination, and clinical assessment in an acute care environment. We welcome new graduate RNs and offer a structured residency program, hands-on training, and dedicated preceptor support to build confidence and clinical skills. Deliver direct patient care for assigned Medical-Surgical patients Perform ongoing assessments and monitor patient condition and response to treatment Communicate changes in condition, diagnostic results, and symptomatology to physicians Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments per orders Provide patient and family education and guide nursing support staff Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient status Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation Ensure compliance with patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.4. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.5. Ventilator Management experience preferred.6.
