The ultrasonographer is responsible for performing imaging procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring high-quality patient care. They must also maintain professional accountability and work in partnership with the radiology team.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a BCLS certification. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree, graduation from an accredited ultrasound program, and relevant registry certifications like ARRT or ARDMS.

Here’s What You Need H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required Other Graduate of an AMA approved / accredited Ultrasound Program Preferred Associate's Degree Preferred 1 Year experience in a hospital setting Preferred BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography Upon Hire Preferred And ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography 12 Months Required Or ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers Upon Hire Preferred And ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers 12 Months Required
