The Traditional Practitioner provides cultural and traditional services to support residents' healing and wellness using Diné principles. They coordinate with the clinical team to integrate traditional teachings and ceremonies into the residents' treatment plans.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years of experience as a traditional healing practitioner. Exceptional knowledge of Navajo traditions, culture, and the ability to communicate in both Navajo and English are required.
Traditional Practitioner position is responsible for providing Cultural and Traditional services to promote basic Diné principles such as respect, relationships, reverence and responsibility.
Full Time - Exempt Monday-Friday 8: 00am-5:00pm (Hours may vary based on days/times needs of the sensitive services)

Required Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of Navajo Traditional healing ceremonies. Exceptional knowledge of Diné traditions, culture, philosophies and language. Knowledge of Peacemaking Ceremony Process Knowledge of the 12-Step approach to substance use counseling. Skill in conducting and preparing traditional healing ceremonies and prayers. Maintain the history and symbolism of Navajo traditions. Ability to communicate in both Navajo and English languages. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Five (5) year experience as a traditional healing practitioner. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
