The coder is responsible for assigning accurate codes to diagnoses, procedures, E&M visits, and diagnostic testing. They will also perform chart audits, provide provider education, and analyze clinical documentation.

Certified Coder required.
Working knowledge of basic medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes.
Preferred experience in multiple specialties including: Cardiology, Cardiology diagnostic testing, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Critical Care, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Vascular Surgery and Vascular Imaging services.
Ability to assign codes to diagnoses, procedures, E&M visits, and diagnostic testing.
Ability to research and analyze clinical documentation as well as produce reports from a variety of sources.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to perform chart audits, perform provider education, and build positive working relationships.
Associates or Bachelors degree desired.
Certified Coder required.
Two years recent coding experience in a healthcare setting, clinic setting preferred.
Chart auditing experience preferred.
Candidates must be a Certified Coder with at least two years of recent healthcare coding experience. An associate or bachelor's degree is desired, along with proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
