We promote hope and empowerment to persons and families touched by mental illness, substance abuse, HIV and multiple occurring diagnoses, and their related challenges.

Are you eager to assist a client through their Mental Health and Substance Use recovery process in an outpatient therapeutic setting? We are seeking Clinicians to provide supportive person-centered counseling services to individuals in a compassionate way. Please see highlights below:

What You'll Do At BCCS

Be responsible for a caseload of clients, as identified by program requirements and in accordance with state regulations. Completes required evaluations and assessments. Documents all clinical services and interventions performed within the clients ‘electronic record. Monitors client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Maintains contact with outside providers to coordinate care. Confer with the Clinical Supervisor on a daily basis for casing. Participates in weekly treatment team meetings. Will be responsible for the Adolescent Program (youth ages 10-17 yrs of age). Performs other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor.

**20% of your time will be with our RISE Program that serves adolescents from 10 to 17 years of age

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of assessment and counseling/therapy principles Considerable knowledge of population being served and available resources Ability to evaluate and screen clients for appropriate treatment and document progress of clients May require crisis intervention to emergency situations Skill in establishing rapport with clients Ability to work independently and as part of a focused team Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Requirements

Qualifications for the position are: Minimum associate degree with CADC or Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field REQUIRED: 1 year experience in the Substance Abuse Field and/or Mental Health REQUIRED: 1 year experience working with the adolescent population Within 2 years, must have obtained certification as CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor).

Salary: From $21/hour Commensurate based on experience, education, and certification

Schedule

  • Monday –
  • Friday 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m Candidates must be able to work later hours one day per week, as late as 6:00 PM, especially during the school year, to accommodate the needs of adolescents and their families.
