The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for performing respiratory assessments, therapeutic treatments, and patient education. They coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient experiences and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Candidates must hold an Associate degree and a valid Ohio Respiratory Care License. Additionally, they are required to possess NBRC credentials and maintain certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS.
The Respiratory Therapist (RT II) functions in a skilled role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The RT II is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations served. The RT II will coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote excellent patient experience. The RT II is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies.
Associates Degree Licensure/Certification/Registration · Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License · Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) · BLS · ACLS · NRP · PALS certification required within 6 months of hire or based upon course availability
