The Resident Care Nurse assists the Director of Nursing in delivering resident care services and managing the medication program. They are responsible for monitoring resident needs, maintaining family relations, and training staff members.
Candidates must be a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with a current license in good standing. The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as bending and lifting, as well as completing all specified training programs.
Description Job Summary The Resident Care Nurse/Wellness Nurse is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing with the overall implementation, delivery and coordination of Resident Care services at the Community. They will be responsible for the PM/HS Medication Pass in one of our buildings.
The following essential functions are the fundamental job duties of the position to be completed with or without appropriate reasonable accommodation. · Responsible for the care of Residents of Oakwood, Birchwood, and Maplewood · Assist in the medication program. · Maintain positive relations with residents, families and physicians. · Report any significant incidents and/or changes in the residents needs to the Executive Director/Director of Nursing. · Assist Director of Nursing in the completion of resident assessments and services plans. · Assist in the training of Resident Care staff and in orientation of new staff. · Attend and participate in scheduled in-service programs, training programs and staff meetings. · May perform other duties as assigned.
· Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse with a current license in good standing. · Certification or licensed per state guidelines. · Must successfully complete all HallKeen Assisted Living Communities specified training programs. · Able to apply common sense strategies to resolve issues as they arise within the scope of responsibilities assigned, and to report issues outside of scope to Director of Nursing. · Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
Physical Demands · Physically able to bend, reach, and work in small areas. · Physically able to push and pull equipment and furnishings.
