About the role

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, direct patient care in the ICU by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities

Provides safe, high-quality critical care to ICU patients through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Responsible for monitoring patient conditions, collaborating with physicians and care teams, responding to clinical changes, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance. Deliver direct patient care to critically ill patients. Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient condition and response to treatment. Perform hemodynamic, cardiac, and respiratory monitoring. Communicate changes in patient status and abnormal findings to physicians. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered. Educate patients and families on care plans and treatment goals. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care. Supervise and support nursing support staff. Maintain accurate EMR/EHR documentation. Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control, and HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.4. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.5. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.6. Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred. 7. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. #LI-TA1 Pay Transparency Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $37.00 to $51.28 per hour. Requirements

Candidates must hold a current state RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification, with at least one year of acute care hospital experience. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing and CCRN certification are preferred.
