The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for conducting patient rounds and performing admission screenings within the facility. They will collaborate as an active member of the interdisciplinary treatment team to provide quality behavioral health care.
Candidates must hold a Master of Science Degree in Nursing and possess current Nurse Practitioner registration in South Carolina. At least one year of experience in a mental health setting is preferred, along with CPR and CPI certifications.
As a credentialed member of the Medical Staff, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner’s duties include rounding on patients and completing admission screenings. The Nurse Practitioner will work as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Master of Science Degree in Nursing. Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner in South Carolina or in a state with which South Carolina has a reciprocity agreement. Knowledge of the principles and practices of professional nursing in the clinical areas of assignments. Knowledge of the principles and practices of public health nursing. Ability to make judgments based on principles, practices and techniques of clinical specialty. Ability to guide and counsel patients and families. A minimum of one (1) years experience in mental health setting preferred. Additional Requirements: CPR and CPI certification, obtainable within 30 days of hire.
