The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for performing clinical laboratory tests, maintaining quality control, and ensuring preventive maintenance of equipment. They must independently organize their workflow to meet deadlines while accurately interpreting and validating laboratory data.
Medical Laboratory Scientist needed for PRN NIGHT SHIFT for the lab at Phoenixville Hospital.
Hours are 10:30pm-7am with 1 weekend a month and 1 winter and 1 summer holiday required.
The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for obtaining or receiving specimens, performing clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understanding method principles, performing quality control, performing preventive maintenance, and interpreting results accurately, acceptably and within critical limits.
The MLS works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines and validates all data obtained.

Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in clinical/medical laboratory science OR a Bachelors in some other field of study AND completion of a Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science program, OR MT-HEW certification will be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree Experience Prefer 1 year of experience Certification and Licensure ASCP or AMT Eligible Required Skills Computer Skills to include use and navigation Excellent Communications Skills Multitasking
