The CRNA is responsible for assessing patient status, inducing and maintaining anesthesia, and establishing IV access. They must also ensure accurate clinical documentation and communicate effectively with the attending anesthesiologist and healthcare team.
Candidates must hold a valid Pennsylvania RN license and be a Board Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory, along with the ability to perform physical tasks like lifting and standing for extended periods.
