The Cardiac Sonographer I performs and records echocardiology diagnostic tests under supervision to identify normal and abnormal anatomy. They ensure all exams meet quality standards and provide age-appropriate patient care.
Candidates must hold an associate or bachelor's degree in an allied health field or complete an accredited sonographer program. Certification from ARDMS or CCI is required within two years of hire, along with current BLS certification.

The Cardiac Sonographer I follows established policies, procedures, and performs and records Echocardiology diagnostic tests under proctoring/supervision. In doing so, obtains information about normal and abnormal anatomy used to diagnosis disease. Ensures echocardiogram exams are of accept¬able quality and records results. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
