The Physical Therapist will perform initial evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, and provide direct treatments to help patients improve their physical wellbeing. They will also collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, participate in patient care meetings, and assist in the performance reviews of therapy assistants.
Candidates must have a minimum of two years of clinical experience and hold a valid Physical Therapist license in California. Additionally, a Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification is required upon hire.
Accurately identifies patient's functional deficits/dysfunction through review of the medical record, through observation of the patient, through information obtained from the patient/family, and through manual muscle testing, range of motion testing, postural analysis, functional analysis and other physical therapy assessment techniques. Accurately interprets the physician's order.
Discussion, Feedback, Chart Review, Observation.
Effectively communicates with other members of the healthcare team regarding goals, progress and rehab potential. Works as a collaborative member of the treatment team. Attends any necessary and appropriate patient care meetings, such as mini rounds, weekly patient care conference, weekly NICU discharge meetings, etc.
