We are now seeking a experienced CT Radiographer to join our team based in Blanchardstown Overall Objective: The CT Radiographer is responsible for performing performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures within the scope of services offered by the centre, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care.
The role requires adherence to radiation safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal diagnostic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Radiographic Examinations: Conduct CT imaging procedures following department protocols.
Ensure proper patient identification, preparation, positioning, and image quality.
Accept only authorized requests and ensure examinations are clinically justified.
Patient Care & Safety: Maintain the highest standards of patient care and obtain informed consent before examinations.
Utilize radiation protective devices and observe practices to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
Be fully informed of legislation relating to Ionising Radiation (SI 30 & SI 256).
Quality Assurance & Documentation: Strive for first-time imaging success and ensure examinations are fully completed.
Maintain accurate records of examinations, screening times, radiation doses, and relevant statistics.
Stay updated on advancements in radiography and ensure compliance with departmental policies.
Qualifications
and Experience: BSc in Diagnostic Imaging or equivalent recognised qualification Active CORU Registration. Minimum of 4 years satisfactory post-qualification experience in CT.
