The Medical Technologist is responsible for performing moderate to high complexity clinical testing, including specimen processing, analysis, and reporting of results. They must also maintain laboratory equipment, ensure quality control standards are met, and adhere to all safety and regulatory protocols.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in science or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience. A Florida state license is required, and ASCP certification is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in science or equivalent preferred. Minimum 2 years of successful clinical laboratory experience. Florida License, ASCP license preferred. Ability to use a computer and enter data efficiently, including Microsoft office programs. Knowledge of Orchard laboratory information system preferred. Knowledge of eClinicalWorks EMR preferred. Ability to read interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction and procedure manuals. Proficient in data entry and record keeping. Great attention to detail. Ability to multi-task, be self-motivated, reliable, accountable, and conscientious. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must possess the ability to interact and communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of internal personnel, providers, personnel of outside organizations, and patients and their family members. Must possess good organizational skills, handle multiple tasks concurrently, and be able to work effectively with all levels of aforementioned groups. Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
