The Histotechnologist prepares tissue samples for microscopic examination by pathologists through embedding, microtomy, and staining. They are also responsible for equipment maintenance, data management, and ensuring quality control within the laboratory.
Candidates must have 1-2 years of experience in a research or histology lab and possess strong fine motor skills. A valid license or the ability to obtain a license as a Histotechnologist in the State of Florida is required.
