The APRN will prescribe medications for patients with mental health disorders and substance abuse issues. They will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide care in an inpatient facility setting.
Candidates must hold a Master's or Doctorate in Nursing and be a licensed APRN in Montana with ANCC certification. Experience in community-based psychiatric treatment and knowledge of psychotropic medications are preferred.
Description APRN (Nurse Practitioner) The role of the APRN is diverse and includes prescribing medications for patients who have mental health disorders or substance abuse problems while collaborating with an incredible team to help care for those with addiction issues in an inpatient facility setting.
Master’s degree or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited institution License to practice in the State of Montana and hold current certification as an APRN by ANCC or Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Ability to pass background check and driver’s license check upon offer of employment. Montana Driver’s License with good driving record Preferred experience Extensive training or experience in community based psychiatric treatment of individuals diagnosed with serious emotional disturbance and severe and persistent mental illness with alcohol and drug addiction Comprehensive and current knowledge of psychotropic medications and an understanding of crisis intervention and the use of hospital alternative services Job Type: Full-time Salary: DOE Paid time off Relocation assistance Medical specialties: Addiction Medicine Psychiatry License/Certification: Certified Nurse Practitioner (Required)
