The Registered Respiratory Therapist implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in managing patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. They also provide technical support for respiratory equipment and participate in the education of patients, students, and staff.
Candidates must hold an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and possess a valid Respiratory Therapist License for the State of Michigan. Additionally, a Respiratory Therapist Registry (NBRC) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required upon hire.
