The laboratory assistant supports laboratory operations by performing phlebotomy, specimen collection, and processing. They are also responsible for assessing specimen quality and conducting industrial and drug screenings.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and basic computer literacy. Previous hospital phlebotomy experience is preferred.
Provides support to the operation of the Laboratory by assisting with pre-analytical and post-analytical processes resulting in optimal patient outcomes. Responsible for assigned shifts and subject to overtime. Performs other duties as assigned.
