The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory therapy services to patients under the supervision of the Department Director and Manager. They must ensure all care is delivered in accordance with established departmental and hospital standards.
Candidates must be registered through the National Board of Respiratory Care and licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Additionally, they must hold unit-specific certifications such as BLS and CPI.
Under the general supervision of the Department Director and the Manager, the Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory therapy services to patients in accordance with accepted respiratory therapy practices and established Departmental and Hospital standards of care.
