The technologist performs technical nuclear medicine procedures, including the administration of radiopharmaceuticals and the operation of imaging instrumentation. They are responsible for ensuring radiation safety, monitoring patients, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation within RIS and PACS systems.
Candidates must hold an Associate's degree in an applied science and possess two years of clinical experience in nuclear medicine. Required certifications include BLS and CNMT, along with the ability to perform on-call duties and meet physical demands.
Document, update, verify, and complete all patient demographics and clinical information within both RIS and PACS.
