The Medical Assistant performs a mix of clerical and clinical duties, including greeting patients, updating electronic medical records, and assisting providers during examinations. They are responsible for rooming patients, recording vital signs, and facilitating patient flow within the cardiology department.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and possess a current Medical Assistant certification from an accredited organization. Proficiency in computer navigation and excellent communication skills are required for this role.

High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program Experience No experience Certification and Licensure BLS Certification Current Medical Assistant Certification awarded through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), the American Medical Technologists (AMT), the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), National Association of Healthcare Professionals (NAHP) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA). Medical Assistant Certification other than those listed requires THMG Leadership Approval.
